Guide
A fasting app without an account
You shouldn’t need an account to time a fast. Faaast works the moment you open it: no sign-up, no email, no password. Here’s why that matters, and how it works.
Why skip the account?
- Your data is personal. Your weight, your eating times and your progress photos are about your body. The fewer places they’re stored, the fewer places they can leak from.
- You can start straight away. No forms and no confirmation email. Open the app, pick a fast and tap Start.
- Nothing to forget. No password to reset, and no account to delete when you’re done.
How Faaast handles your data
| Account | None. There’s nothing to sign up to. |
| Fasts, weight and photos | Stored on your iPhone, not on our servers. |
| Backup | Optional, to your own iCloud. Turn it on and your history comes back on a new iPhone in one tap. (Faaast Pro) |
| Progress photos | On your iPhone, and in your own iCloud if you turn on backup. Optional Face ID lock. They’re never part of an export file. |
| Apple Health | Only if you switch it on, and only your weight. (Faaast Pro) |
| Ads | None, and your data isn’t sold. |
| Leaving | Export everything as CSV or JSON from Settings → Your data, or delete everything there in one go.2 |

Switching from another fasting app
You don’t have to start from zero. Export your fasts from your old app as a CSV or JSON file, then import them in Faaast from Settings → Your data. Your history, streaks and records carry over, and badges you’ve already earned unlock with the dates you earned them.
What you still get without an account
Everything. The timer and its hour blocks, a calendar of every fast with streaks, your records, weight tracking, progress photos, Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets, weekly and monthly recaps, and 62 badges. All free. Faaast Pro adds fasting stages, water and electrolytes, a weight chart, Apple Health, iCloud backup and more timer styles.
Questions
Is there a fasting app that doesn’t need an account?
Yes. Faaast for iPhone has no sign-up at all. You open it and start a fast, and your fasts, weight and photos stay on your iPhone.
What happens to my data if I get a new iPhone?
Turn on iCloud backup (Faaast Pro) and restore in one tap on the new iPhone. You can also export everything as a file and import it again.
Can I move my fasting history to Faaast?
Yes. Export it from your old app as CSV or JSON and import it from Settings → Your data.
Does Faaast sell my data or show ads?
No. There are no ads in Faaast, and your data isn’t sold.
